  1. In the name of God Amen the xx day

  3. Lxvi; I John Wynter of North Roughton (North Runcton)
  4. in the county of Norfolk husbandman beynge
  5. of whole mynd and in good and perfect rememberance

  1. Laude and praise be unto almyghty god
  2. make and ordain this my present testammente
  3. concerninge herein my last will in manner
  4. and forme followinge that is to say ffirst I
  5. commend my soull unto almyghtye god my
  6. maker and redeemer and my bodye to be buryed
  7. in the church yard of Roughton aforesayed
  8. on [w]est side of the allye I bequethe to the
  9. p[ar]son for my tythes neligentlye forgotten xxd
  10. and to the poore mens boxe of the same
  11. church xijd Item I bequeath to Alice
  12. Clarke my sister a blacke hewed cowe and
  13. also vjs viijd that is to saye at Michaelmas
  14. next ensuinge my deceasse iijs iiijd and att
  15. Michelmas next and immeidiatlye after that
  16. to be payed other iijs iiijd Item I will and my
  17. mynd is that Alice my sister shall have
  18. her beynge and dwelling in the kitchinge of
  19. my dwelling howse imeadyatlye after my
  20. deceasse so long and untyll my sonne shall
  21. come and attayne to the full age of xviij years
  22. with ingresse and outegresse at all tymes conveny-
  23. ent provided alwayes and it is my verye will
  24. that my sayed sister Alice shall have nothinge
  25. to do nor meddell at noe tyme with the seller
  26. and the kitchinge but my wife to have it and
  27. enjoye it bothe ingate and outegate withoute
  28. interruption Item I bequeathe to the poore of
  29. the sayed p[ar]ishe by the advisemente and
  30. discreation of my sup[er]visers to ev[er]ye one of
  31. them a b[ushel] of rye to be delyvered at Easter
  32. next after my deceasse

  14. Item I bequeth to my sonne Thomas ij plough
  15. steres of iiij years ould a piece and ij meares of
  16. value or p[ri]ce of iiij £ of good money to be dely-
  17. vered unto him when he shall attayne to the
  18. age of xviij years and my will is that my
  19. sayed sonne at that tyme aforsayed shall in his lyberty
  20. and choise to recieve the sayed iiij £ or ij meares
  21. Item I bequeath to my sayed sonne Thomas xv s
  22. of good money and also iiij milche kyne to be
  23. delyvred unto him when she shall attayne and
  24. come to the sayed age of xviij years moreov[er]
  25. I give to my sayed sonne a good fetherbed
  26. with all that longeth thereto and also a greate
  27. brasse potte and the biggest keatle to be delyvred

  29. my sayed sonne Thomas shall inhabite and
  30. have my howse that I nowe dwell in and the
  31. mense with all my lande bothe ffree and bonde

  21. wife Alice and of this my present testament

  23. execuitrix and f[or] the exequition of he samme
  24. I make and ordayne William Woolman and Rich[ar]d
  25. Wynter sup[er]visers and overseeres and I bequeath
  26. to eyther of them for their labor in that
  27. behalfe vjs viijd Item I will that all suche
  28. debte as I owe of ryght or of conscience to
  29. any p[er]son or p[er]sons be well and truely
  30. contented and payed by my executrix and soe to be
  31. payed withoute any delaye or co[n]tradiction
